Position Overview
Research Consultant – Medical Sciences
GRCL is seeking researchers, academics, clinicians with research backgrounds, biomedical scientists, health researchers, and other qualified subject-matter experts with expertise relevant to Medical Sciences and related disciplines. The successful consultant may contribute to research projects according to their specific academic specialization, professional experience, methodological skills, and research profile. Key Responsibilities
Depending on the consultant’s expertise and the requirements of individual projects, responsibilities may include:
- Providing professional research consultation within the consultant’s area of medical or health-science expertise.
- Supporting the development of research questions, objectives, hypotheses, and study frameworks.
- Assisting with research design and selection of appropriate methodologies.
- Supporting clinical, epidemiological, laboratory, public-health, biomedical, or community-based research projects.
- Assisting with quantitative and/or qualitative research.
- Supporting statistical analysis and interpretation of medical and health-related datasets.
- Assisting with epidemiological and biostatistical analyses where appropriate.
- Conducting or supporting scientific literature searches and critical literature evaluation.
- Preparing literature reviews and evidence-based research documents.
- Supporting systematic, scoping, narrative, or other forms of scholarly literature review where appropriate.
- Supporting the preparation and development of research proposals.
- Assisting with research protocols, study designs, questionnaires, data-collection instruments, and related research materials.
- Supporting preparation, revision, and improvement of scientific manuscripts.
- Reviewing scientific manuscripts for methodological, scientific, and technical quality.
- Interpreting research findings and providing scientifically appropriate recommendations.
- Supporting preparation of tables, figures, statistical outputs, and other scientific research materials.
- Assisting researchers in selecting appropriate statistical and analytical approaches.
- Supporting the preparation of manuscripts for submission to appropriate peer-reviewed journals.
- Contributing subject-matter expertise to multidisciplinary research projects.
- Communicating effectively with GRCL researchers, consultants, collaborators, and project clients.
- Maintaining high standards of confidentiality, research ethics, scientific integrity, and responsible research conduct.
Specific responsibilities will depend on the consultant’s expertise and the scope of each project.
Eligibility
Applicants should preferably possess one or more of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant medical or health-science discipline
- Master’s degree
- MPhil
- PhD
- Medical degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Other recognized postgraduate or professional qualification relevant to medical research
Candidates must demonstrate a genuine research background or relevant research capability.
Academic qualification alone will not be the sole basis of selection. GRCL will consider the overall research profile, expertise, publications, methodological capabilities, and suitability for consultancy projects.

Important Employment & Payment Notice
PROJECT-BASED CONSULTANCY — NO PERMANENT SALARY
This position is a project-based Research Consultant engagement and is not a permanent salaried employment position. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis. There will be:
- No permanent salary
- No fixed monthly salary
- No guaranteed monthly income
- No guaranteed minimum number of projects
The consultancy fee for each project will be determined according to the agreed scope of work, responsibilities, deliverables, expertise, experience, and project requirements. Applicants should apply only if they understand and accept this project-based consultancy arrangement.
