Genesis Research Consultancy Limited (GRCL) provided specialized academic journal consultancy services to the Iraqi Journal for Administrative Sciences (IJAS), published by the University of Karbala. The consultancy focused on strengthening the journal’s digital publishing infrastructure, improving its editorial presentation, and aligning its publishing practices with internationally recognized standards for scholarly publishing.
Scope of Consultancy
GRCL provided support in three key areas:
OJS Redesign and Optimization
We supported the redesign and optimization of the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, focusing on improved website structure, navigation, journal presentation, and user experience for authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.
COPE Consultancy
GRCL provided guidance on aligning the journal’s editorial and publication practices with the principles and best practices promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The consultancy covered areas such as publication ethics, editorial responsibilities, peer-review practices, conflicts of interest, authorship, corrections, and handling publication-related concerns.
DOAJ Consultancy
We provided consultancy support to strengthen the journal’s policies, transparency, website information, and publishing practices in preparation for the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) evaluation. The work focused on identifying areas requiring improvement and establishing a clearer and more transparent scholarly publishing framework.
