Key Responsibilities
Depending on the consultant’s expertise and the requirements of individual projects, responsibilities may include:
- Providing professional research consultation within the consultant’s area of business and management expertise.
- Supporting the development of research questions, objectives, hypotheses, and conceptual frameworks.
- Assisting with research design and selection of appropriate methodologies.
- Supporting quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods business research.
- Conducting or assisting with statistical and data analysis.
- Supporting interpretation of business, management, financial, organizational, or economic datasets.
- Conducting and critically evaluating academic and professional literature.
- Preparing literature reviews and evidence-based research documents.
- Supporting the preparation and development of research proposals.
- Assisting with questionnaires, survey instruments, interview protocols, and other research tools.
- Supporting primary and secondary data collection and analysis.
- Supporting preparation, revision, and improvement of research manuscripts.
- Reviewing research manuscripts for methodological, analytical, and academic quality.
- Interpreting research findings and providing evidence-based recommendations.
- Supporting preparation of statistical tables, figures, charts, models, and other research outputs.
- Assisting researchers in selecting appropriate statistical and analytical techniques.
- Supporting preparation of manuscripts for submission to appropriate peer-reviewed journals.
- Contributing subject-matter expertise to multidisciplinary research projects.
- Providing technical and methodological advice within the consultant’s area of specialization.
- Communicating effectively with GRCL’s research team, consultants, collaborators, and project clients.
- Maintaining professional standards of confidentiality, research integrity, academic integrity, and responsible research conduct.
Specific responsibilities will vary according to the consultant’s expertise and the scope of each project.
Eligibility
Applicants should preferably possess one or more of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related discipline
- Master’s degree
- MBA
- MPhil
- PhD
- Professional qualification relevant to business, management, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Other recognized postgraduate or professional qualification relevant to business research
Candidates should demonstrate a genuine research background or relevant research capability. Academic qualification alone will not be the sole basis of selection. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis.
