Research Consultant – Biological Sciences

Key Responsibilities
Depending on the consultant’s specialization and individual project requirements, responsibilities may include:
- Providing professional research consultation within the consultant’s area of biological-science expertise.
- Supporting research design and development of appropriate research methodologies.
- Assisting with experimental, laboratory, field-based, ecological, molecular, computational, or applied research.
- Supporting quantitative and/or qualitative research activities.
- Conducting or assisting with statistical analysis and interpretation of biological datasets.
- Supporting the preparation of research proposals and research protocols.
- Conducting and critically evaluating scientific literature.
- Preparing literature reviews and evidence-based scientific documents.
- Supporting preparation, revision, and improvement of scientific manuscripts.
- Reviewing manuscripts for scientific, methodological, and technical quality.
- Interpreting research findings and providing scientifically appropriate recommendations.
- Supporting the preparation of scientific tables, graphs, figures, maps, and other research outputs where applicable.
- Assisting researchers in identifying appropriate analytical methods and research approaches.
- Supporting preparation of manuscripts for submission to suitable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary research projects conducted or coordinated by GRCL.
- Providing subject-matter expertise for specific consultancy assignments.
- Communicating effectively with GRCL’s research team, collaborators, and project clients.
- Maintaining professional standards of confidentiality, scientific integrity, research ethics, and responsible research conduct.
Responsibilities may differ from project to project according to the consultant’s qualifications and area of specialization.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
Applicants should preferably possess:
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, MPhil, PhD, or equivalent qualification in Biological Sciences or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrable research experience in their area of specialization.
- A genuine interest in academic and scientific research.
- Knowledge of appropriate research methodologies.
- Strong scientific reading and writing skills.

Important: Payment & Engagement Terms
This is NOT a permanent salaried position. The Research Consultant position is offered strictly on a project-by-project consultancy basis.
- Payment will be made per project.
- No permanent, fixed, or monthly salary will be provided.
- Consultancy fees will be determined according to the scope of work, project requirements, responsibilities, expertise, experience, and agreed deliverables.
- The consultancy fee and terms will be discussed and agreed upon before commencement of each project.
- The number and availability of projects may vary depending on GRCL’s research activities and client requirements.
- Appointment as a Research Consultant does not constitute permanent employment with GRCL.
- GRCL does not guarantee a minimum number of projects or a fixed monthly income.

Important Notice Regarding Employment & Payment
This is a project-based consultancy opportunity and is NOT a permanent employment position.
NO PERMANENT SALARY WILL BE PROVIDED.
Consultants will be compensated on a per-project basis according to the mutually agreed scope of work, responsibilities, deliverables, expertise, and project requirements. There is no fixed monthly salary, permanent salary, or guaranteed monthly income associated with this position. Applicants should carefully consider these terms before applying.
